Reportedly, many of those who are experiencing it are not intending to have an AI Note Taking assistant joining automatically into calls, yet they are doing exactly that, and it is not a simple process to entirely remove otter.io from your system.
If this tool is intended for good and not ill, the team behind this product ought to consider the end-user’s experience a bit more, because right now, it is giving the unsuspecting the impression that it is a virus.
